an interview with God

A friend sent this to me -

Man: What surprises you most about mankind?

God: That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again. That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health. That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither in the present nor the future. That they live as if they will never die and die as though they had never lived.

The only thing I will add is, while all this is very true of human nature, I’m sure God isn’t surprised at all…

  1. I agree with the sentiment that God wouldn’t be surprised. How can he be, after all these years? But I think people are changing nowadays and appreciate childhood more…you can see that by a lot of immature behaviour. Haha!!

  2. Haha well He would have anticipated this even before the creation of man! haha. They appreciate childhood more when it’s gone…again, the same problem prevails with not appreciating or living in the present or moving forward.
