I want you to know

There are some people we’ll never forget. They’ll always leave a mark, a sweet scar, a bittersweet tear whose taste will always remind us of a time that has passed us by forever. It was perfect, a world in itself, summer always shining. The stars never set. Nevermind the storms that came thereafter, the rainbows that never graced the sky, the memories on constant replay. I thought it’d be easy to let it go as surely as the sun that sets, but I guess a part of you will always be with me, wherever we may be. happy independence day.

Remember all the things we wanted

Now all our memories, they’re haunted

We were always meant to say goodbye…

  1. Wow..awesome..i REALLY love how you collaborated your piece with the Clarkson lyrics. That is very true. There are those we will never forget, ppl who come into our lives and leave their mark, who (in a sense) constitute some part of our identity coz we learn some sort of lesson from them. I love that “we were always meant to say goodbye” part. tis true. For those who have entered your life, and left that “bittersweet” scar, would you have preferred to have never known them in that way? Or you’re happy with how they have constructed some part of who you are?

  2. it’s amazing how much someone can have an impact on our life eh? even though they aren’t necessarily a part of our life anymore, they were once a chapter in our book. and how you incorporated kelly clarkson’s song into this post.. reminds me of how songs speak our emotions, and how say everything you couldn’t possibly say at that very moment. there are so many times when songs are being played, and it just brings me back to a time of my life where it was different. whether it was happy or sad, it brought back so many memories. you know britney spears’ songs bring back the fun in you ;) hehe. aw man that reminds me.. ktv soooon !! <3

  3. hey Imo, thanx for your comment!! yea everyone leaves a mark, even if we only meet them once sometimes!! it’s so intricate and mysterious, life is. hmmm well i’m happy to have known them if i have become a better person because of it, despite the pain? people who i regret letting in..well, if they have constructed part of who i am, it is a bit disturbing esp if i want no part of them in me, but if it was for the better and best, then sure, why not. haha, what about you? =))

  4. hey Tessa!! awesome to see you here, thanx so much for leaving a comment!!! i really appreciate those =D yes omg exactly, i don’t know how songs do that, but if there was teleporting in this world, it’d have to be through music. it really brings us back to the happy or sad, it’s really mind boggling, literally. i find that certain scents do that for us sometimes, perhaps a perfume we once wore a long time ago, or that we smelt on someone else…smelling it again years later brings us back to those moments in time. hahhaa, YES britney ;) totally reminds me of my P6 and sg days too, sigh! x) and yes, please im looking forward to our ktv!! =D

  5. Sara- Thats a hard one!! Hmmm..Well for all of those ppl who entered my life and then left, and meant something to me in those periods..I dont think I’d trade the experience…I might have changed how I acted in the situation…but in hindsight..it is only because I didnt act the way I would act now..that i learned smth. So yes every experience is great for learning. I think it would really depend on how much pain those ppl left in your life that would determine whether you would change the situation. But b/c so much of who we are is found and constructed by others its hard to separate the two! thanks for asking =)

  6. hey Imo =) yea i agree about probably not trading the experience =)) and learning is always painful but on hindsight, we realise it’s all worthwhile. yea it is hard to separate the two! Everything in life is so intermingled and it all comes to create something in the end. Thanks for your comment once again! =)
