when you wish upon a star
What are some of the most awesome and breathtaking wonders of the world that God has created? I think the heavens and the starry universe around us certainly could be chart toppers. For millenia people have gazed and charted the walk of the stars and planets through their ancient, mysterious realms of black and gold. It is infinite, terrifying … beautiful.
Worlds in the sky
Far from my reach
I touch you with the hands of my soul
Flying, flying
Embracing the depths of space
Time immaterial
Exists not
Only immemorial
My memory glistens as I tear back
To years like nebulae
The birth of a new life
Quiet, unseen
Breaking through the endless crevices
A velvet dream
Flowing and holding
Wisps of cloud
Blue castles on shores of snow
Skating, skating
Past the present
Copper dust
Falling
Remnants of stories across the ages
The dawn of time
Within my reach
Sacred goodbyes
Sudden beginnings

I remember this poem=) It’s very beautiful in a mystical sense. One thing I like about it is the narration..while the humanness of the narrator is suggested by concepts such as memories, goodbyes, and beginnings, the narrator very much seems like an other-worldy being..sort of like the co-existence of the spiritual and physical in one body. the use of the “celestial” language really creates this dynamic.
reminds me of the character in your current writing project..an other-worldy being who has glimpses of humanness. It’s a very cool dynamic to play with. Theres something else I want to get at here, but i just cant reach it. Beautiful poem tho!

hey girl! aww thank you very much! mmmm you know i like what you said coz it has given me an idea, it seems like my recent writings are centred around themes like this so perhaps i should put this in the prologue or opening page or something of the current novel i’m working on! haha! i never saw the narrator as an alien and spiritual and physical, that’s a very beautiful way of describing it and definitely applies! thanx for always faithfully commenting, i truly truly appreciate it love <3

Hey, yes thats an awesome idea..me, myself was totally thinking that it would really go well in your current project. coz its like..the character is traveling through space..”tearing” back to memories, etc. it really applies =) i love the combination of the earthly and celestial..i think you write about it very well!
